Here's why you must work with experts with influence
I'm sorry, I probably don't want to interview your CEO for my story... but here's what to do instead.
Coming to you from my couch after wrapping up nearly 8 weeks of travel! FNCE — the food and nutrition conference for dietitians — was incredible in Denver, and I am ready for a nap for the rest of this week. I am already looking forward to the event next year in Minneapolis.
Coming off the heels of travel, I only have a couple assignments in the next week or so. However, I am pitching editors soon this month, so feel free to send me your story ideas!
In particular, these kinds of pitches are working well right now:
Holiday trends
Foods for specific disease states/conditions
Product round-ups with unique angles
Bonus points if you have an expert on hand that I can chat with for these!
What to expect
If you’re a new subscriber, every week I’ll be coming to you with expert insights and industry tips plus I will regularly be putting out calls for pitches, upcoming assignments, and brand work!
How to connect with writers for earned media coverage
Do’s and don’ts for pitching writers
Round-ups of upcoming assignments and published work
Calls for pitches + a process for pitching me
And any other FAQs you have!
Calls for pitches, upcoming assignments, etc.
New assignments will be here each week! Depending on the season, I am writing 10-20 stories per month right now.
