St. Thomas travel update, new assignments, and recently published...
Back from paradise, and ready to roll!
Hey friends, I missed you!!
If you’ve emailed me in the last week, you likely got my OOO that I was in the Virgin Islands (still digging out of email jail — if I owe you one, it’s coming!)
Our new tradition is picking somewhere tropical to visit to break up the mid-winter blues and this one was so easy to get to from DC (4-hour direct flight!) and no passport needed since it’s a U.S. Territory. Which is perfect considering our passports are being renewed in preparation for our honeymoon this summer. Say a prayer.
I put a mini vlog up of the trip on TikTok if you want to see more about the trip! I have SO many upcoming assignments for February already, and will slowly trickle them out here, so keep an eye on Substack this month.
Upcoming assignments
New assignments will be here each week! Depending on the season, I am writing 10-20 stories per month right now.
SHAPE: Best Unflavored Protein Powders — Looking for both product recs and experts here. Please drop the product (and link to the site please) + why you recommend it. Due 2/9.
Eat This!: Unhealthiest Menu Items at Outback Steakhouse — Looking for expert recs. Please drop the menu item (and link if you find it on Outback's site) + why it isn't the healthiest option. Let me know how I can credit you! Due 2/6.
EatingWell: "Bad" High-Calorie Foods to Add to Your Diet — Looking for both product recs and expert quotes here. Please drop the product (and link to the site please) + why you recommend it. Due 2/15.
The Girl’s List: The Difference between Sucralose vs Stevia — looking for experts only. Please respond to this email for the questions, and I'll send them over! Due 2/9.
Pitch me!
I’ll be pitching a handful of my editors for the rest of the month. I’d love to receive any timely pitches in the meantime!
Nutrition trends, relatable stories, etc. — forever and always doing well!
Last-minute Valentine’s Day round-ups
Health-focused content
Frozen food round-ups — these continue to perform well and get picked up by most of my editors right now.
